Best Sports Betting Sites in Cameroon

Sports betting is now part of everyday life in Cameroon. You can place a ticket in a kiosk, top up with Mobile Money on your phone, or use apps that look just like the big international brands. In this article, I focus on the online sports betting sites that actually work for Cameroonian bettors: how they are licensed, how they handle payments, and what you really get in terms of football markets, bonuses and day-to-day experience.

Before I rank the sites, it helps to understand the basics of the local market. Betting is legal in Cameroon, but it is tightly controlled. The main rules come from Law 2015/012 on games of chance and its 2019 application decree, which sit on top of older texts like Law 89-026 from 1989. MINAT (Ministry of Territorial Administration) is the key regulator for licences, while the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Directorate focus on taxes and money flows. In 2025, the government also pushed all online gambling payments through a central aggregator (InTouch), and from 2026, a new 3% digital tax targets foreign platforms that take bets from Cameroonian users.

The system is quite “manual.” There is no up-to-date public list of legal sports betting websites: the last official table dates back to 2013, so today you mostly have to rely on what operators publish on their own sites, plus local media and some law-firm notes.

Taxation is heavy, but it mainly hits the operator and the payment provider, not your wallet directly. Finance laws apply around 25% tax on gross gaming revenue, plus a 10% local surcharge for many games of chance. On top of that, there is a special tax on games of chance, around 15% of turnover and extra charges on Mobile Money transfers (0.2% TTA tax and a 4 XAF fee per transaction), which also apply when you deposit or withdraw from a betting site. Public sources do not give one clear, up-to-date rule for a separate personal income tax on sports betting winnings, so in practice, most tax is built into the odds, the bonuses and small deductions on payment rather than a big bill you pay later.

Top Six Betting Sites With The MINAT Licence

In this section, I focus on Cameroonian betting sites that publish a Cameroonian company name, a .cm domain and a valid MINAT licence number in the footer. This does not mean every other site is automatically illegal, but it does mean these brands operate under local rules and can, at least in theory, be held to account by the authorities.

1xBet

PROS CONS
PROS
  • Clear local authorisation from MINAT (licence № 000020/A/MINAT/SG/DAP/SDLP/SJ via NEXUS SAS), so it is a regulated option in Cameroon rather than a grey offshore site
  • Very strong implementation of MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money: instant deposits, withdrawals that usually land within about 15 minutes, and no extra fees from the bookmaker on top of normal MoMo charges
  • Football odds are notably sharp for the region: on the sample of UEFA Champions League games you checked, the average margin was 1.55% on 1×2 and 1.52% on over/under, which is better than many African-facing bookmakers.
  • Sports offer is deep not only on top European football but also on the NBA, combat sports (including Ngannou fights), smaller sports and virtuals, so it suits high-volume and niche bettors, not just casual football fans
  • The 200% first-deposit bonus has big upside for high-activity punters who can realistically meet both parts of the rollover (sports accas + 1xGames).
CONS
  • Mobile website is heavy and not well optimised for small screens: horizontal scrolling, crowded menus and a “desktop crammed into mobile" feel
  • Welcome bonus conditions are complex and strict: half of the bonus locked into 5x accas at 1.40+, and the other half into 30x wagering on 1xGames, which most casual bettors will not clear
  • Live chat is bot-first and English-first; it is hard to reach a real agent or get help in French, which is a serious downside in Cameroon
  • Overall support feels less personal and less “local" than what some smaller Cameroonian-focused brands offer

1xBet is the benchmark online bookmaker in Cameroon. The local site 1xbet.cm is operated by NEXUS SAS and works under national authorisation № 000020/A/MINAT/SG/DAP/SDLP/SJ issued by the Ministry of Territorial Administration, so I treat it as a fully licensed option rather than a grey offshore site.

For payments, 1xBet does what I expect from a top Cameroonian bookie. You can deposit and withdraw with MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money. Deposits are instant, and withdrawals usually arrive within about 15 minutes. 1xBet does not add extra fees, so you only pay the usual mobile money charges.

On the mobile side, my impression is mixed. The website works on phones, but it is heavy: on some devices, the right part of the screen is cut off, and you need to scroll sideways, and the menus feel crowded. The good news is that you can download Android and iOS apps directly from the website; they run smoother than the mobile web, but the APK install step can be confusing for beginners.

The welcome bonus looks very generous at first glance: a 200% first deposit bonus up to 130000 XAF. In reality, the rollover is tough: one half of the bonus must be turned over 5x in accumulator bets with at least three selections at minimum odds of 1.40, and the other half must be wagered 30x in 1xGames titles, usually within 30 days. That structure gives a lot of upside for very active punters, but casual bettors will rarely clear the full amount.

Where 1xBet really stands out for me is the sports offer. On the Champions League, Premier League, and other big football tournaments, you get hundreds of pre-match and live markets, plus Bet Builder for same-game multiples. NBA games also come with a huge menu of lines, and there are markets for top boxing and MMA fights, including Francis Ngannou bouts. Other sports are well covered, too; you can bet on tennis, volleyball, handball, ice hockey, American football, Esports and many smaller events, as well as virtual sports when there are no real matches. In my own sample of UEFA Champions League matches, the average margin was 1.55% on the 1×2 market and 1.52% on the main over/under line, which is very sharp for this region and makes 1xBet a strong choice for price-sensitive bettors.

Customer support is the area where I see the biggest gap. Live chat opens quickly but connects you first to a bot in English; during my tests, I could not easily reach a real human agent or get answers in French, which is a clear weakness for a market like Cameroon. You can also contact support by email. Some guides list a Cameroon phone number for 1xBet, but in my experience, the service still feels less personal and less local than with smaller brands.

Overall, I consider 1xBet one of the best betting websites in Cameroon thanks to its licence, strong mobile-money support, deep football and NBA coverage, and competitive margins. At the same time, I warn new bettors about the complex bonus rollover, the clunky mobile web design, and the limited French-language support in live chat.

Premier Bet

PROS CONS
PROS
  • Runs on a local Cameroonian licence (RJC Ltd / Premier Betting with Gaming Board of Cameroon), so it feels more like a home brand than an offshore site
  • Strong mobile-money setup with MTN MoMo and Orange Money, plus vouchers, and automatic withdrawals, so you are not stuck waiting for manual approval every time you withdraw
  • Sports welcome bonus is big (200% up to 150,000 XAF) but also simpler than 1xBet’s: one clear 5x rollover on deposit + bonus at odds 2.00+, with 30 days to complete
  • Android app is a real product with a decent track record (around 3.8/5 from 2,000+ reviews), which suggests it is actively used and maintained rather than something the brand launched and ignored
  • Football, basketball, and other sports have enough markets for “normal" bets (1×2, totals, a few props), so casual punters rarely feel limited even if lines are thinner than on 1xBet
  • Local contact options (Cameroon phone number, WhatsApp, support form) give the brand a more “reachable" and human feel than some global-only websites for sports betting
CONS
  • Mobile website is poorly optimised: the layout can be cut off on smaller screens and feels heavy, which makes navigation annoying compared with leaner competitors
  • Football market depth is clearly behind 1xBet, often staying under 100 markets per match, so advanced or line-sensitive bettors will feel constrained
  • Margins around 4.17% on 1×2 and 5.95% on totals for the Champions League are acceptable but not sharp; over time, that difference matters for value hunters
  • Live betting offer is relatively shallow, with roughly 15–25 in-play markets per game, which limits more complex live strategies
  • Secondary sports (basketball, tennis, boxing, MMA, etc.) are covered, but with modest market menus, and high-profile local-interest fights like Francis Ngannou bouts may be missing
  • Live chat was offline at the time of checking, and the support language was not clearly indicated, so getting fast, French-friendly help is not guaranteed

Premier Bet is one of the main shop-plus-online brands in Cameroon. Premier Bet runs the site premierbet.com/cm for Cameroon. In the footer, it says the site is operated by RJC Ltd / Premier Betting under licence from the Gaming Board of Cameroon, so I treat it as a locally regulated bookmaker rather than an offshore site.

On the payments side, Premier Bet is set up the way a good local bookie should be. You can deposit and withdraw with MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money, and there is also a voucher option for topping up your balance. Official help pages explain step by step how to deposit and withdraw using Orange Money and MTN, which confirms that mobile money is a core method here. Withdrawals are processed automatically once you submit the request, so you do not need to call support every time you want to withdraw your winnings.

On the mobile side, my impression is mixed. The website opens on a phone, but the layout is heavy, and parts of the screen can be cut off, so navigation is not very comfortable. The good news is that there is a dedicated Android app called “Premier Bet Sports.” You can download it from the site or Google Play, where it has a rating of about 3.8/5 from over 2,000 reviews.

The welcome package is quite attractive on paper. Premier Bet advertises a 200% sports welcome bonus on the first deposit, up to 150,000 XAF, and adds extra value with free bets during the first days and free spins on the “2025 Hit Slot.” The rollover is more forgiving than on 1xBet: you need to wager the deposit plus bonus 5 times, with at least two selections per bet at minimum odds of 2.00, and you have 30 days to do it. For active bettors, this is realistic; casual users still need to plan their bets, but it is simpler than splitting the bonus into separate sports and games parts.

Where Premier Bet falls behind 1xBet is in the depth of its sports lines. All the big football competitions are there, including the Champions League, Premier League, La Liga, and Ligue. For many matches, I see fewer than 100 markets, which is clearly less than on 1xBet. When I checked several Champions League games, the average margin was about 4.17% on the 1×2 market and 5.95% on the main over/under line. These prices are fine for casual betting but not as sharp as 1xBet’s numbers, so value-hunters will notice the difference. Live betting is available on football and other sports, with usually around 15–25 in-play markets per match. Also, Premier Bet offers bet builder and cash out.

Football still dominates the offer, but other sports are present. You can bet on basketball (including the NBA with roughly 30–37 markets per game in my checks), tennis, volleyball, darts, ice hockey, cricket, and more. There are also odds on boxing and MMA, although I could not find specific fights involving Francis Ngannou when I checked. For most of these secondary sports, the number of markets is lower than on 1xBet, but it is enough for simple win and totals bets.

Customer support at Premier Bet feels more “human” than at some bigger brands, even if it is not perfect. There is a Cameroon phone number, a WhatsApp contact and a support page where you can send a form and read help articles. When I checked, live chat was offline, so you have to use these channels, and I could not clearly confirm the support language.

Overall, I see Premier Bet as a solid choice for Cameroonian punters who like mobile-money payments, simple bonuses, and a familiar brand with shops in town. It does not beat 1xBet on market depth or margins, but it offers a friendlier rollover and a more local feel, which can matter a lot for beginners.

Roisbet

PROS CONS
PROS
  • Feels like a real local brand with shops plus online, which can build trust for punters who prefer betting outlets to pure .com sites
  • Likely operates under a national licence (via Roisbet SARL and the Ministry of Territorial Administration), so I do not put it in the same basket as random offshore sites
  • Pre-match football offer is quite rich for a smaller brand, with around 130–140 markets on big games, which is enough for most recreational bets
  • NBA coverage is surprisingly deep, with roughly 130–150 markets per game, so basketball fans get more options than on many small operators
  • Presence of Bet Builder on some matches is a nice extra for users who like custom multiples, not just simple singles and accas
CONS
  • Payment setup is unclear: the site does not clearly show methods, and external sources suggest cash withdrawals in shops rather than smooth mobile-money payouts
  • No visible welcome bonus or promo page on the site, so new customers do not get the kind of clear sign up offer that most competitors use
  • Football margins are high (about 7% on 1×2 and 8.02% on totals for the Champions League), which is poor value compared with sharper betting online sites like 1xBet
  • Live betting offer is shallow: once the game starts, the number of markets drops to a small set of basic options
  • The platform is basically limited to two sports, football and basketball, so anyone who wants tennis, hockey, or other sports will find it very restrictive
  • App links and support tools are unstable: Android and iOS icons often lead to dead pages, and the “Help" bubble gets stuck loading, which does not inspire confidence in the tech or customer care

Roisbet is a classic “shops plus online” brand rather than a pure digital bookmaker. It is run by Roisbet SARL and, according to industry guides, holds a licence from the Ministry of Territorial Administration, so I treat it as a locally regulated sportsbook rather than an offshore site.

Payments are the first grey area. On the main website, I do not see a clear banking page or payment logos, which is unusual in 2026. External industry guides say you can deposit via MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money, EU Mobile, and cash in Roisbet shops, but that withdrawals are still done in cash at the shops rather than back to a mobile wallet. If this is accurate, it means Roisbet works well for punters who live near betting outlets, but is less convenient for fully online users who expect fast mobile-money payouts.

The mobile experience is clearly a focus. The betting site reshapes to fit smaller screens and is much easier to use on a phone than some older Cameroonian sports betting websites. At the bottom of the site, you see Android and iOS icons, which suggest there are mobile apps. When I clicked the Android icon, it opened an instruction page, but the actual download link went to “page not found.” The iOS icon sent me to an App Store page that also does not exist. Sometimes the icons are not clickable at all, which makes me think the app links are broken, and the site glitches quite often.

On bonuses, Roisbet is very low-key. I do not see any welcome bonus banner or promotions page on the official site, only a field to enter a promo code if you already have one. Recent reviews from Bookmaker Ratings also say that there is no active welcome offer, only an accumulator promotion for existing users. Some older or third-party materials still mention a first-deposit bonus, but since I cannot confirm it on the live site, I would not count on it. In practical terms, you should treat Roisbet as a “no sign-up bonus” bookie and see any promo you find as a nice extra, not a guarantee.

The sports offer is narrow but focused. All major international football competitions are there, and for many top games, I counted around 130 to 140 pre-match markets, including full time result, goals, halves, combo bets, handicaps, and corners. That is less than 1xBet’s massive menus, but still enough for most recreational punters. On the Champions League games I checked, the margin was about 7% on 1×2 and 8.02% on over/under. This is higher than 1xBet and not very good for price-sensitive bettors.

Live betting is available on many fixtures, but in-play the choice of markets shrinks to a dozen or so options such as next goal, both teams to score, simple totals, and a few team totals. Bet Builder is present for some matches, which is a plus for fans of custom multiples.

Basketball is clearly the second main sport on Roisbet. NBA games usually come with around 130–150 markets, which is strong, but apart from football and basketball, there are no other sports available.

Customer support is another mixed point. On the site, I see a “Help” bubble, but when I click it, the window just keeps loading and never opens. Some app guides say Roisbet offers WhatsApp support with a local number in French and English, and Bookmaker Ratings also mentions live chat and a contact form. In practice, this suggests that Roisbet does have human support, but access may depend on the time of day and the specific channel you try.

Overall, I see Roisbet as a niche option for Cameroonian punters who already use its shops, feel comfortable with the brand, and do not mind higher margins or shop withdrawals. The mobile site is usable, and the football and NBA coverage is deep enough, but unclear payment information, no visible welcome bonus and relatively high margins make Roisbet hard to recommend ahead of 1xBet or Premier Bet for online-only bettors.

Supergooal

PROS CONS
PROS
  • Local operator with a clear Cameroonian licence (Campresj SARL with MINAT authorisation), so it sits in the “properly regulated" bucket rather than the offshore grey zone
  • Very low minimum withdrawal of 500 XAF, which makes it friendly for small-stake and casual bettors who do not want to lock in big sums
  • Promo set-up is built around repeat play rather than a one-off welcome: Super Tuesday, cashback on accas, bet boosts, Bet Builder offers and the Mission system all reward ongoing activity
  • Huge depth on top events: major football matches can reach four-figure market counts, giving a lot of room for niche angles and custom bets
  • Basketball, especially the NBA, is treated almost as a flagship product, with hundreds of markets and Early Payout on some games, which is rare for a local brand
  • Very broad product mix beyond classic sports (boxing, MMA, Esports, virtuals, politics), so it suits bettors who like to explore side markets
  • Support hours and channels are clearly stated, including WhatsApp and a French language service, which is not always the case with competitors
CONS
  • Mobile site is clunky: the layout gets cut off on the right and forces side-scrolling, which becomes tiring if you bet from your phone every day
  • Android app messaging is confusing (“Meridianbet app" label), and there is no clear iOS app route, which can reduce trust for less techy users
  • Odds are expensive: margins of about 9.23% on 1×2 and 7.03% on totals for Champions League are significantly worse than 1xBet and even Premier Bet, so long-term value is weak
  • Live chat is unreliable in practice, so you often fall back to WhatsApp or forms instead of getting instant help inside the site
  • The product feels geared toward “fun plus features" rather than fair pricing, which makes it a poor fit for bettors who care more about squeezing the best possible odds than about missions and promos

Supergooal is one of the strongest purely local brands in Cameroon. The site is operated by Campresj SARL and works under licence № 000021/A/MINAT/SG/DAP/SDLP/SJ issued by the Ministry of Territorial Administration, so I treat it as a fully regulated Cameroonian bookmaker.

On the banking side, Supergooal covers the key local options. You can fund your account with MTN or Orange Mobile Money or by paying cash in Supergooal shops, and you withdraw your winnings using the same methods. The minimum withdrawal is just 500 XAF, which is very low and makes the platform friendly for small-stake bettors.

On mobile, the site does not adapt well to the screen. The right side of the page is often cut off, and you have to scroll sideways, which is annoying. There is an Android app you can download directly from the website, but the page says “Download the Meridianbet app,” which looks confusing. I could not find any iOS app, so iPhone users have to use the mobile browser.

Supergooal’s sports bonuses focus on regular users rather than one big welcome offer. There is a weekly Super Tuesday Bonus, where the bookmaker may credit a bonus that you must use on multiples with at least two selections and minimum odds of 1.35, valid for seven days and with modest stake limits. Supergooal also runs cashback on accumulators with one losing leg, bet boosts, Bet Builder promos, and a “Supergooal Mission” loyalty system, which together keep active customers engaged.

What really stands out with Supergooal for me is how much choice you get. The football section lists more than 1,300 competitions, including the Champions League, Premier League, La Liga and many others. Top matches can show well over 1,000 pre-match markets, sometimes close to 2,000, covering full-time result, goals, handicaps, half-time bets, player markets, corners, and more. The downside is pricing: on the Champions League games I checked, the average margin was about 9.23% on the 1×2 market and 7.03% on the main over/under line. That is much higher than the low single-digit margins I see on 1xBet, so Supergooal is not the best choice if you care mainly about getting the sharpest odds.

Live betting is available every day. During my tests, I saw eight football matches in play, with between roughly 20 and 100 live markets per game, depending on the importance of the match. There is a match tracker, in-play totals, next-goal bets, and some player options, plus Bet Builder and an “Early Payout” feature on many fixtures, which is nice if you like to withdraw once your team goes a few goals ahead.

Other sports are not just an extra. Basketball has strong coverage, with major NBA games offering hundreds of markets and also qualifying for Early Payout in some cases. You can also bet on boxing and MMA, plus tennis, volleyball, handball, Esports like Dota and Call of Duty, virtual sports, and even specials like politics, so the overall menu is much wider than on most local competitors.

Customer support feels reasonably accessible for a local brand. Supergooal lists a WhatsApp number, phone contacts, an email and a web form, and says its support team is online every day from 09:00 to 23:00. When I tested the live-chat button, it did not always respond, so in practice you may rely more on WhatsApp or the form, but at least there are clear local channels, and French is explicitly supported.

Overall, I see Supergooal as a powerful option for Cameroonian punters who value local ownership, huge football and basketball choice, and a busy promotions calendar. The downside is that the bookmaker’s odds margins are higher than on 1xBet and even Premier Bet. If you care most about getting the best price on every bet, Supergooal is more of a fun, feature-rich option than a value bookie.

PMUC

PROS CONS
PROS
  • Long-standing local brand with a MINAT licence, which gives many bettors extra comfort and trust
  • Very low entry point for payments: deposits and withdrawals from 100 XAF suit micro-stakes and cautious beginners
  • Mobile site works smoothly without horizontal scrolling, and there is a dedicated Android app for regulars
  • Promotions page is rich and varied (cashback, odds boosts, loyalty, referrals, league-specific offers), so active customers can almost always find some running deal
  • Solid sport coverage beyond football, including NBA, tennis, e-soccer, rugby, ice hockey and volleyball
CONS
  • Deposit and withdrawal rules (per-hour withdrawal limit, daily caps) may feel restrictive for high-volume or high-stake bettors
  • Football odds are expensive: margins around 9% on 1×2 and 7% on totals make it poor value compared with sharper online bookies like 1xBet
  • Live offer is relatively shallow, with roughly 20 in-play markets per match and no clear Bet Builder, so it is less attractive for same-game acca fans
  • No visible markets for boxing or MMA, which is a drawback for users who want to bet on big combat-sport names such as Francis Ngannou

PMUC is the most “old-school” name on this list: it is a long-standing betting brand in Cameroon that has moved its offer online at pmuc.cm. In the footer, the site says it is the property of PMUC SA and operates under MINAT licence 000001 from 21.02.2019, so I treat it as a fully regulated local bookmaker, not an offshore site.

On payments, PMUC does what I expect from a serious Cameroonian operator. Orange Money and MTN Mobile Money are available for both deposits and withdrawals, and you also see mobile-money logos right in the site footer. For Orange, the help pages show a minimum deposit of 100 XAF and a maximum of 2,000,000 XAF per transaction, with rolling 24-hour limits of five deposits and a total of 5,000,000 XAF. The same 100 XAF minimum applies to withdrawals, with a stated maximum of 999,900 XAF per transaction and a rule that you can only withdraw once per hour. PMUC also clearly says that the money you deposit must be used for a bet at least once before you can withdraw it. Overall, this setup looks friendly for small stakes but a bit restrictive for high-volume bettors.

I like the way the PMUC site behaves on mobile. The layout reshapes to your screen size, and I did not need to scroll sideways, which already puts it ahead of a few local rivals. There is also an Android app you can download directly from the website. I could not find any iOS app, though, so iPhone users will have to stick to the mobile site.

When it comes to bonuses, PMUC goes all-in on variety rather than one huge welcome offer. The promotions page is packed: football cashback offers, “bet, complete, win” style challenges, prize draws for combo bets, Premier League free-bet promos, free bets on Aviator, odds boosts up to 1000%, a loyalty programme that rewards frequent play, and a referral bonus of up to 20% extra income. For active punters, this is an attractive ecosystem, but as always, the real value depends on the exact rollover rules, so I recommend reading the conditions for each promo instead of assuming all of them are automatically profitable.

On the sports side, PMUC is solid but not spectacular. All the big football competitions are covered, including the Champions League, Premier League, and La Liga. On the matches I checked, there were usually between 100 and 200 pre-match markets. The main tabs include 1X2 result, goals, totals, both teams to score, various handicaps, scorer markets, and correct-score options. However, the pricing is on the expensive side: on Champions League games, the average margin was about 9.01% on the 1×2 market and 6.99% on the main over/under line. Compared with the 1xBet numbers (around 1.5% on both markets in my sample), this is a big gap, so PMUC is clearly not aimed at odds hunters.

Live betting is available on many popular football matches. I usually saw around 20 markets per game, focusing on match result, goals, totals and handicaps, plus cash out on most fixtures, which helps with risk control. I did not see a clear Bet Builder feature, so if you like complex same-game accas, PMUC is more basic than 1xBet or Supergooal.

Outside football, basketball (including the NBA) is well represented, with up to around 90 markets per game on big fixtures, mostly spread between result, point gap, and totals. There is also tennis, e-soccer, rugby, ice hockey, volleyball, and other sports. I could not find boxing or MMA markets, which is a miss if you want to bet on Francis Ngannou’s fights.

Customer support looks quite structured for a local brand. In the footer, PMUC lists a WhatsApp number, a standard phone line, and an email address ([email protected]), which is exactly what I expect from a French-speaking operator with a strong retail presence.

Overall, I see PMUC as a good fit for Cameroonian punters who are already familiar with the brand, like mobile-money deposits starting from 100 XAF, and enjoy frequent promos more than razor-sharp odds. The main downside is the high margin on football compared with 1xBet and other online-first bookmakers, so I would treat PMUC more as a comfortable, trusted local option than as a place to chase the very best prices.

betPawa

PROS CONS
PROS
  • Operated by Ennovative Gaming SARL under a MINAT licence, so it sits in the “local and regulated" camp rather than as a random offshore site
  • Very friendly to micro-stakes: you can start from 1 XAF, which is ideal for low-budget or beginner punters who just want to try things out
  • Mobile experience is one of the best among local online betting websites: fast-loading pages, clean layout, no horizontal scrolling, plus a dedicated Android app
  • Bonus system is easy to understand: a single Win Bonus on accumulators with clear rules (3+ legs, odds from 1.20, up to 1000% extra), rather than a maze of overlapping promos
  • Football offer is quite deep for a compact bookmaker, with roughly 120–150 markets on big matches, covering all the main bet types most punters actually use
  • “2UP" early payout on some fixtures adds a useful safety net for acca and single-backers when their team goes two goals ahead
  • Support via call-back, Facebook and Telegram (with a French-speaking bot) gives more modern, app-style contact options than many classic local betting companies in Cameroon
CONS
  • Margins on top football are only average: around 6.40% on 1×2 and 5.29% on totals for Champions League, which is clearly weaker than sharp online sports betting websites like 1xBet
  • No big welcome bonus or free-bet campaigns, so new customers do not get the same upfront value that rivals promote
  • Live betting offer is patchy: one of the live games had zero markets, and others only a few dozen, which is thin compared with more advanced in-play platforms
  • No visible Bet Builder, so same-game acca fans are limited to preset combos rather than fully custom slips
  • Sport line-up is narrow (football, basketball, eFootball, tennis only), with no boxing, MMA or other niche sports to cover interests like Francis Ngannou fights

betPawa is the most “mobile-first” brand on this list. The site betpawa.cm is operated for Cameroon by Ennovative Gaming SARL under a licence from the Ministry of Territorial Administration, so I treat it as a regulated local bookmaker rather than an offshore site.

On payments, betPawa ticks the key boxes. Orange Money and MTN Mobile Money are available for deposits and withdrawals, and the help pages say withdrawals are usually processed within about ten minutes once approved. You can also stake from as little as 1 XAF, which suits very small-stake punters.

The website itself is well adapted to phones. Pages load quickly, the layout resizes cleanly to the screen, and I did not need to scroll sideways or fight with overlapping elements. There is also an Android app you can download directly from the site. I could not see a clear iOS download option, so iPhone users will mostly rely on the mobile browser.

betPawa keeps its bonus system very simple. The main promotion is the Win Bonus on accumulators: place a multi with at least three selections at odds of 1.20 or higher, and your winnings get a percentage boost that grows with each extra leg, up to 1000%. I did not find separate welcome bonuses or free-bet promos at the time of checking, so this Win Bonus is the main long-term incentive.

In terms of football coverage, betPawa does a good job on depth. Champions League, Premier League, Ligue 1, La Liga, and many other leagues are available, and on big games I usually saw around 120–150 pre-match markets. The key categories include 1X2 result, total goals, both teams to score, double chance, halves, correct score, handicaps, and various combo and “specials” markets. On pricing, though, the numbers are only average: for Champions League matches, my sample showed an average margin of about 6.40% on the 1×2 market and 5.29% on the main over/under line. That is clearly higher than the very sharp margins I see on 1xBet, so betPawa is not the first choice for pure value hunters.

There is live betting as well. When I checked, eight football matches were in play: one oddly had no live markets at all, while the others offered a few dozen options, such as 1×2, totals, both teams to score, double chance, and half-time/full-time. I noticed a “2UP” feature on some fixtures, where your bet can be settled early if your team goes two goals ahead, but I did not see a dedicated Bet Builder tool for custom same-game accumulators.

Outside football, betPawa keeps a tight but focused list of sports. You can bet on basketball (including NBA), eFootball, and tennis. NBA games typically had around 46–48 markets per match in my checks, mostly spread across moneyline, totals, odd/even, and handicap lines. I did not find boxing, MMA or other niche sports, so the overall line-up is smaller than on Supergooal or other full-range online bookmakers.

Customer support is built around callback and social channels rather than classic live chat. On the help page, you can request a call from a Cameroonian number and are encouraged to contact the team via Facebook Messenger or Telegram for a faster reply. Telegram support connects you to a French-speaking bot, so basic help in French is available.

Overall, I see betPawa as a very clean, mobile-first option for Cameroonian punters who like to bet small and keep things simple. You get fast Orange Money and MTN MoMo withdrawals (often within about 10 minutes), a smooth mobile site, an Android app, stake sizes from just 1 XAF and a simple Win Bonus that boosts your accumulator payouts instead of burying you in complex promo rules. But the odds are only average, the offer is limited to football, basketball, eFootball and tennis, and there is no big welcome bonus, so for me, betPawa is a light, everyday betting app rather than a main account for serious value hunting.

Best Alternatives to 1xBet

Many Cameroonian bettors already know 1xBet and like its style: lots of markets, live bets, and big promos. But it is still worth having a second or third option, whether for better bonuses, different odds, or simply as a backup when one site has problems. In this section, I look at the main 1xBet-style alternatives that work for punters in Cameroon and explain when it might make sense to use them instead.

Melbet

PROS CONS
PROS
  • Very familiar 1xBet-style interface and product depth, combined with full MINAT licensing, so you get an international-style platform under local regulation
  • Lets you choose between a sports welcome bonus and a large casino + fast games package, depending on what you prefer to play
  • Huge promo line-up (promo-code store, weekly app cashback, 100% refund on some accas, “Accumulator of the Day," “Bonus for 100 bets," and many sport-specific offers) that can add steady extra value for regular bettors
CONS
  • Sports welcome bonus still follows the classic 1xBet pattern: accumulator-only, multiple rollovers, relatively high minimum odds and a time limit, so it is easy to misread the rules
  • Maximum sports bonus is only about 56,000 XAF, which looks small next to six-figure headline offers at rivals like 1xBet and Betmomo
  • The promo page is crowded with many different offers and sets of terms, which can be confusing for casual bettors

Melbet is a 1xBet-style bookmaker that now runs an official Cameroon site. Melbet-cm.com is operated by LOYAL COUNTRY SAS and is licensed and regulated by the Ministry of Territorial Administration under licence no. 000063/A/MINAT/SG/DAP/SDLP/SJ, issued on 25 July 2024. This puts it in the group of MINAT-licensed brands rather than as a purely offshore option.

For Cameroonian users, the main pull is the familiar product: a very deep pre-match and live line, lots of niche sports and Esports, cash out, Bet Builder, live streaming, and other “1xBet-family” tools.

When you register, you can choose between a sports first-deposit bonus and a big casino + fast games package. The sports offer is a 100% first-deposit bonus up to 100 USD or the equivalent in XAF (shown as about 56,000 XAF on the registration form). Based on Melbet’s group-wide rules, this bonus normally has to be wagered several times in accumulator bets with minimum odds of around 1.40 within a fixed time limit.

Melbet also pushes a long list of ongoing promos. In the sports bonus section, you see things like Match Point Legends and other sport-specific missions, weekly cashback in the app, a promo-code store, “Bonus for 100 bets,” “Accumulator of the Day,” 100% refund on certain accumulators if one leg loses, plus safe-bet and combo offers. This is a great value for high-volume users, but it means there are many separate sets of rules to keep track of.

Overall, Melbet is best seen as a MINAT-licensed 1xBet alternative with a slightly smaller but still demanding sports bonus and one of the busiest promo calendars in the Cameroonian market.

BetWinner

PROS CONS
PROS
  • Holds a local MINAT licence, so there is a clearer legal framework and recourse than with offshore-only clones
  • Welcome bonus has a lower cap but a cleaner structure than 1xBet’s split sports/1xGames offer, which makes it easier to understand and plan around
  • Low minimum deposit of 600 XAF lets you test the site and the bonus without committing a big bankroll
  • Strong promo ecosystem (promo-code store, cashback, Accumulator of the Day, Advancebet, losing-streak and birthday bonuses) that gives regular users many small value boosts over time
  • Features like Accumulator of the Day and Advancebet specifically reward multi-bet fans, who are a big part of the Cameroonian audience
CONS
  • Maximum bonus of 65,500 XAF is much smaller on paper than 1xBet’s headline offer, which can put off high-stakes bettors chasing big limits
  • Rollover still forces you into accumulator bets with 1.40+ legs, which is demanding for risk-averse or single-bet punters
  • Thirty-day time limit and multiple promo types mean you need to track conditions carefully to avoid losing bonus funds
  • Strong focus on accumulators and reloads can encourage high-variance betting behaviour if you are not disciplined with stake sizing
  • Because the site mirrors the 1xBet style, it may feel cluttered or overwhelming if you prefer a simpler, stripped-down sportsbook

BetWinner is another 1xBet-style site that accepts customers from Cameroon. Betwinner.cm is owned and operated by DIGITAL LAB LIMITED BETWINNER S.A. and holds a local Cameroonian licence (no. 000036/O/MINAT/SG/DAP/SDLP/SJ, issued on 9 September 2021 by the Ministry of Territorial Administration), so it counts as a locally licensed alternative to 1xBet rather than a pure offshore site.

The main difference is the welcome offer. BetWinner gives new customers a 100% first-deposit bonus up to 65,500 XAF, with a minimum deposit of 600 XAF. To withdraw it, you must wager the bonus five times in accumulator bets with at least three selections, and at least three legs in each acca must have odds of 1.40 or higher, usually within 30 days. It is still a real rollover, but it is simpler than 1xBet’s split bonus that also forces you into 1xGames.

On top of that, BetWinner runs a lot of ongoing promos: a promo-code store, reload deposit bonuses, sports cashback, “Accumulator of the Day,” Advancebet, bonuses for a series of losing bets, and birthday offers. For Cameroonian punters, who like the 1xBet style but want a slightly clearer sports bonus and regular promotions, BetWinner is a realistic alternative.

International Betting Sites

Not every popular betting brand in Cameroon runs on a clear MINAT licence. Some big names work more like international or “offshore” sites and target Cameroonian punters from abroad. In this section, I look at Betmomo as the main example of that type of operator and explain what it offers compared with fully licensed local brands.

Betmomo

PROS CONS
PROS
  • Strong local payments: free deposits and withdrawals via Orange Money and MTN Mobile Money, with very low minimums (from 100 XAF for deposits and 500–1,000 XAF for withdrawals)
  • Deep football markets: roughly 300–500 pre-match options on big games, including handicaps, player bets, team totals, and even fouls
  • Decent value on some lines: over/under margin around 3.64% is noticeably lower than the 7.8% on the main 1X2
  • Very busy live section: 30+ in-play football matches with dozens of markets each, and cash out on many selections
  • Strong basketball offer: 250–300 markets on big NBA games, including plenty of props and period bets
  • Feature-rich bet slip: same-game multis via Bet Builder, plus Edit Bet options
  • Promo variety tailored to regulars: split “Free 10,000" package, Monday 10% free bet, stake-back on losing multis, early 2–0 payout, Lucky Deposit, loyalty club, and Telegram promo codes
  • Native apps that genuinely fix desktop-on-mobile issues, with both Android APK and an iOS app available
  • Multiple support channels (live chat, email, in-profile message form) with bilingual agents in English and French
CONS
  • Desktop site performs poorly on phones: parts of the screen get cut off, and you often need to zoom and scroll sideways
  • Withdrawals are advertised as taking 0–12 hours, so they are not truly instant and can remain pending for some time
  • High margin on the core 1X2 football market (around 7.8%), which is unattractive for value-focused bettors
  • Welcome and casino bonuses are quite restrictive: 5x/10x wagering, seven-day window, capped payouts and low casino bet limits
  • No boxing or MMA coverage, which is a noticeable gap for combat-sports fans

Betmomo is the “all-bells-and-whistles” option on this list: lots of promos, a big product, and a very flashy interface.

On payments, Betmomo covers the key local wallets. Deposits via Orange CM and MTN CM are free and processed instantly, with limits from 100 XAF up to 500,000 XAF per transaction. Withdrawals go back to the same wallets, also fee-free, with minimums from 500–1,000 XAF and a stated processing time of 0–12 hours. So topping up is quick and easy, but payouts are not true “instant auto-withdrawals” and can sometimes take a few hours.

The desktop site is overloaded on a phone: the right part of the screen is often cut off, which makes checking odds and slips less comfortable unless you zoom and scroll sideways. The operator tries to compensate with native apps. You can download an Android APK directly from the site, and there is an iOS app on the App Store (around 3.4/5 at the time of checking). In practice, I would recommend using the app rather than the mobile browser if you bet from your phone a lot.

Betmomo’s promotions page is packed. The main deal is a “Free 10,000” welcome package: 5,000 XAF for sports and 5,000 XAF for casino (2,500 for crash games and 2,500 for slots), with 5x wagering on the sports part at minimum odds of 2.0, 10x on casino, seven-day validity and capped payouts. You also get recurring offers, such as Monday 10% free bets up to 100,000 XAF, Lucky Deposit, stake back on losing multis, early payout if your team leads 2:0 and Telegram promo code drops, so there is almost always a promo running, but you really need to read the terms and conditions.

On the sportsbook itself, Betmomo is one of the closest local rivals to 1xBet in terms of depth. Football covers all the key competitions, including the Champions League, Premier League, Ligue 1, and La Liga. For a typical Champions League match, I saw roughly 300–500 pre-match markets spread across result, totals, Asian and European handicaps, halves, minutes, combos, player bets, team totals, and even fouls. Odds are a mixed bag: around 7.8% margin on 1×2 (quite high and tough for value-focused bettors) but roughly 3.64% on over/under, which is more reasonable, though still not as sharp as 1xBet.

Live betting is another strong area. During my checks, there were 30+ football matches in play, each with anything from a few dozen to over 100 live markets, including match result, double chance, draw no bet, goal handicaps, and totals. Cash out is available on many selections. The site lets you combine different markets in one bet, and with the Bet Builder promo, this clearly means you can make same-game multis on a single match.

Beyond football, Betmomo offers a deep basketball product. Big NBA games often have 250–300 markets each, covering totals, handicaps, halves, quarters, player props, and more. You also get tennis, volleyball, cricket, ice hockey, Esports, and several other sports, but I did not see boxing or MMA, which may disappoint fans of Francis Ngannou and combat sports in general.

Support is one of the bright spots. You can contact Betmomo via live chat, by email at [email protected], or through the “Send a Message” form in your profile. Live chat is available in both English and French.

Overall, Betmomo is a strong choice for Cameroonian bettors who want lots of markets, aggressive promos, and good coverage of football and basketball, as long as they are ready to read the small print. Payments through MTN and Orange are convenient, and the mobile apps, plus bilingual live chat in English and French, make it a solid everyday option, even though odds are not the sharpest, and the desktop site on mobile feels cluttered.

Conclusion

  • Sports betting is fully legal and mainstream in Cameroon, but the system is “manual.” It means MINAT issues licences, but there is no clear public list of betting sites with the local license, and most taxes are built into bookmaker margins and Mobile Money fees rather than paid by you directly.
  • For trust and payments, your safest starting point is a locally licensed .cm site that clearly shows a Cameroonian company name and MINAT licence number in the footer (for example, 1xBet, Premier Bet, Roisbet, Supergooal, PMUC, betPawa).
  • 1xBet has sharp football odds and very deep markets, but its 200% welcome bonus is hard to clear, and the mobile site is heavy, so it fits experienced, price-sensitive bettors more than beginners.
  • Premier Bet, PMUC, and Supergooal offer big, traditional bonuses and strong shop + Mobile Money networks, but their football odds are worse than 1xBet, so you pay for comfort with lower long-term value.
  • Roisbet and betPawa are niche picks: Roisbet suits shop-based football/NBA bettors, while betPawa is a good choice for mobile-first users who like tiny stakes and a simple Win Bonus, but both have limited odds value and sport range.
  • Betmomo is the main “international style” site without a clear local licence in this guide. It offers deep markets, plenty of promos and solid Mobile Money payments, but has higher margins on main football bets and a dense bonus calendar that needs careful reading.
  • Melbet and BetWinner are the closest 1xBet-style options: they offer a similar product with MINAT licences and slightly smaller but simpler sports bonuses that regular acca bettors may find easier than 1xBet’s split sports + 1xGames deal.
  • Across all brands, the biggest traps are complex bonus conditions and expensive odds: in practice, it is better to take smaller, clearer promos and focus on online betting sites with fairer margins than to chase the largest headline bonus.
  • The safest strategy is to keep two or three accounts. Use one sharp “main” bookmaker for the best odds (often 1xBet or a similar site), one or two local brands for easier bonuses and shop access. Always check the licence details and read the T&Cs before you deposit.
