SBOBet was previously available for punters from several regions around the world, including Europe. Currently, the bookie is only available for residents of several countries in Asia: Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. The only other accepted country is Brazil.

The bookmaker’s website can be accessed from other continents, but in order to create an account, users need to select one of the previously mentioned countries as their country of residence.

Regulatory Track Records

In July 2025, SBOBet’s then-parent company, Celton Manx, was fined £3.9 million ($5.24 million) by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC). The investigation conducted by GSC unveiled breaches of anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism practices. 

The company said its own probe didn’t reveal any notable negligence. However, it accepted the fine and collaborated with the investigators. It resulted in the original fine of £5.6 million ($7.5 million) being reduced. 

Odds

SBOBet posts first odds for football matches up to 10 days before the kick-off. This is usually the case for high-profile leagues like the English Premier League or Serie A. The odds for events in less popular competitions, like lower divisions, are shared several days in advance. 

For other sports, the odds are generally available for the upcoming matchday. The prices for outrights are posted several months before the new season or tournament starts. For example, the odds for the winner of the 2026 WNBA season were posted shortly after the 2025 WNBA champion was crowned. 

The default format on the bookie’s website is the Hong Kong odds. Punters can also choose between Malay odds and Euro odds, with the latter corresponding to the traditional decimals format. When the Euro format is selected, the odds are displayed to two decimals. Users can switch between different formats by clicking on the settings icon on the main page and choosing their preferred option. 

The change of odds happens in real time. It is indicated by a flashing animation and a green arrow for increase or a red arrow for decrease. 

SBOBet doesn’t offer an option to view historical odds. Also, there is no built-in odds comparison that would allow punters to compare the prices with other bookies.

The bookmaker has a 10% margin on football and 7% margin on basketball. Its margin policy is more favorable for tennis and American football, coming between 5% and 6% on average. SBOBet doesn’t explain how margins are calculated and doesn’t provide implied probabilities tools.

SBOBet offers its users a variety of payment options for deposits and withdrawals. The available methods depend on the country of residence and selected currency. Once you choose the currency, it is not possible to change it afterwards. One common option for all markets is the crypto token Tether (USDT).

Bettors can pick between a wide range of local options. For example, in Bangladesh, the supported methods are e-wallets bKash, Nagad, and Rocket. In Indonesia, users can choose between DANA, OVO, LinkAja, GoPay, and ShopeePay. In Thailand, there are various QR code payment services available, like PromptPay, Thai QR, and TrueMoney. Punters in India can opt for PhonePe, UPI, and JioMoney among other options. 

Apple Pay and Google Pay are also offered in certain countries. The list includes Cambodia (when USD is selected), Japan, and India (only Google Pay).

SBOBet charges a 5% fee for deposits and withdrawals. The fee is waived if the punter completes a minimum bet turnover threshold of three times the amount deposited. Deposits are processed instantly; the transaction time for withdrawals takes from a few hours to several days. The limits are clearly stated for each available method. For example, the minimum deposit for Tether is 5 USDT (TRC20) and 500 USDT (ERC20). The maximum is 50,000 USDT (TRC20) and 30,000 USDT (ERC20). The withdrawal minimum is set at 25 USDT, and the maximum depends on the account limit.

SBOBet covers 36 distinct sports. The list includes mainstream sports like football, basketball, and tennis alongside niche options like beach volleyball, futsal, Muay Thai, and bandy. There are virtual football, virtual basketball, and virtual racing available. Punters can wager on a variety of specials, including BBC Sports Personality of the Year and Academy Awards winners. 

The bookie offers betting on Esports through the EsportsBull platform. Bettors can stake on competitions from 28 different video game titles, including Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, Dota 2, Overwatch, and CrossFire. 

Lower divisions, women’s, and youth leagues are available for core sports. High-profile friendly and regional cups are also covered, but we couldn’t find any markets for reserve leagues. 

There are around 30 markets available for flagship matches. But in order to see all of them, users need to turn on the Bet Builder option, which is located in the event header. The market counters are displayed for each event. 

The sportsbook offers a limited range of player and team props. Users can bet on goal scorers and totals on corners and goals. The Bet Builder feature allows props to be combined in a single wager. 

SBOBet is best known for its large offering of handicap betting markets. The available options include handicap betting on the outcome of the match, the outcome of the first half, and handicaps on corners. 

The bookmaker also provides a wide range of outright markets. This includes season and tournament winners across the majority of sports, as well as a variety of individual award winners. Cross-sport outright parlays are not accepted.

There are around 30 live markets for flagship football matches. The selection is limited to handicaps, outcomes, totals, correct score, and goalscorers. There is no option to make fast-market or micro-interval bets.

The bookie has a live streaming option, but only E-football events were available during our review. The animated match trackers were offered for all live football matches. They included detailed live stats and commentary for high-profile games. The same option wasn’t available for live events from other sports like basketball and tennis.

Claim bonus

It comes with an 18x rollover requirement. Only bets on pre-match markets with odds of 1.50 or higher are counted towards rollover.

The only other ongoing promotion available at SBOBet for sports betting is refer-a-friend. Users need to invite their friends to the bookmaker’s website through a unique referral code. They will receive a bonus based on the percentage of all qualifying deposits made by their friend. The percentage ranges between 0.10% and 0.40% depending on their Elite Club tier status. 

VIP Club

SBOBet has a tiered loyalty program called Elite Club. Users are automatically enrolled in the program, starting with the Emerald tier. They can level up by earning Elite Points, with Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond, and Infinity tiers also available. One Elite Point is rewarded for every $280 wagered. The Infinity tier is invitation-only. 

The members of the Elite Club are eligible for daily rebates, which range from 0.15% for Emerald to 0.35% for Infinity. Starting from the Sapphire tier, users can receive reload boost, a dedicated VIP host, exclusive freebies, birthday treats, and priority deposits and withdrawals. 

The Elite Points expire every 30 days. The validity of Sapphire and Diamond tiers is also 30 days. This means that users are required to be continuously active in order to keep their status.

SBObet’s website looks outdated. Everything is text-based with a minimum amount of visuals and icons. It can look clustered at times due to large banners promoting the welcome offer and casino games. The pages load moderately fast. There is no option to switch the site theme between light and dark themes. 

The sports menu contains the list of sports, but doesn’t provide an option to select a specific league. There is a “Hot Links” section at the top, which displays the most popular competitions at any given moment. Once you choose the sport, the website displays all the events associated with it. In the main console, you can navigate between live events, upcoming events, and outrights. There is also a filter that lets you pick out leagues you want displayed. 

The main console features several helpful options. You can check out results, see which events are available for live stream, and enable score sound alerts for events you’ve placed wagers on. You can also select different sorting, odds format, and type of display by clicking on the “settings” icon.

The bet slip is located on the left side, under the sports menu. It opens up once you add a market to it, but it can be minimized. Users can choose to remember their last stake, and it will be applied to all bets until changed.

The website does not feature a search option of any kind. You can only add competitions and events to favorites. They are remembered between sessions and can be accessed from the “Hot Links” section of the sports menu. 

SBOBet’s platform doesn’t have social features like community bets or forums. Also, users won’t find any betting tools like odds calculators or stat databases. 

Mobile Betting

SBOBet offers a mobile app for Android. You can get the app by visiting the mobile site, clicking on the menu button, and selecting “Download SBO App.” This will initiate the download of the APK file. Alternatively, you can scan the QR Code on the desktop website. 

The app works smoothly, doesn’t have any noticeable glitches, and didn’t crash once during the review. However, it slows down when switching between sports and adding selections to the bet slip. This can be frustrating for live betting when you need to place a wager quickly. 

The footer of the app contains shortcuts for Parlay Slip, My Matches, My Bets, and Cash Out. It also has a banner for the e-Football jackpot, which brings some inconvenience. If your finger slips and you click on it by accident, it redirects you to a different page. You can remove it, but it returns each time you enter the app. 

There is no separate menu for sports. You pick the sport in the header of the app, and it shows you all the events that are currently ongoing. Just like the desktop site, you need to use the filter to view only events from a single competition. 

The bet slip is poorly designed, as it pops up from the bottom and covers half of the screen. Also, if you close it without placing the wager, all your selections are immediately erased.

The app comes with a few extra features. You can enable quick login, which allows you to set a pattern and use it to access the app without having to enter your details. By using the app, you can also check out the “Betting tips” section. Here, you can view the “Punter leaderboard,” which contains the most successful users with their “hit rate,” and browse through bets made by other bettors. 

There haven’t been any special promotions or bonuses for mobile app users during our review. 

Mobile Web App

Punters who don’t want to go through the trouble of downloading and installing the app can access the mobile web app through their mobile browser. It looks similar to the Android app, using the same layout. The only difference is the absence of a quick login option and sports news section. Also, it is noticeably slower compared to the app. 

Security & Data Protection

SBOBet says that it uses “DigiCert SHA2 Extended Validation Server CA” to protect the sensitive information of its users. It adds that “all sensitive data is also stored in our database in encrypted format.” Quick check revealed that the bookie’s site uses TLS 1.3 encryption standard. 

The bookmaker doesn’t offer two-factor authentication (2-FA) or biometrics. Users can set up a security question for added protection of their account.

SBOBet Mix Parlay Betting

SBOBet’s Mix Parlay works in a similar way to an accumulator bet. It allows users to combine multiple selections from different events into a single bet. Compared to other bookies, only specific events are eligible for Mix Parlay.

In order to see eligible matches, you need to choose “Mix Parlay” in the “Hot Links” section. Alternatively, you can select “Parlay” from the bet slip and then click on “Mix Parlay” there. The bookmaker also offers pre-made Mix Parlays, which you can add to your slip with a single click.

The maximum payout for football Mix Parlays is $47,728. For other sports, it ranges from $1,193 to $15,909. 

Cash Out

Cash out feature allows bettors to settle their wager before the event finishes and take the payout right away. SBObet offers full cash out on selected events and markets. 

You can check the wagers eligible for cash out by navigating to the My Bets section. If the bet is eligible, you’ll notice the cash out button containing the amount offered. You only need to click on it and confirm to get the payout. 

The bookie also has an “Accept Any Cash Out Value” option. By selecting it, users can lock the cash out value at that particular time, regardless of whether it drops before confirmation.

Responsible Gambling
