Betting Regulation in Denmark
Sports betting is legal in Denmark under the Danish Gambling Act. The licensed market opened in January 2012. Spillemyndigheden, the Danish Gambling Authority, licenses and supervises gambling operators. It is an executive authority under the Ministry of Taxation and Economic Growth.
Online sports betting companies need a Danish licence to serve the Danish market. Before signing up, check the site’s exact domain in the regulator’s official licence register. Make sure the licence covers betting, as a casino licence alone is not enough.
You must be at least 18 to bet. Operators must check your identity, usually through MitID, Denmark’s digital ID system. Some offer restricted temporary accounts while checks are pending. You cannot withdraw funds from a temporary account until your identity has been verified.
Under Danish tax rules, winnings from a bookmaker with a Danish licence are tax-free for the player. You do not need to include those winnings in your Danish tax return. The operator pays gambling duty.
Winnings from sites without a Danish licence can be taxable. As SKAT explains, an exemption applies when the operator is based and licensed in the EU/EEA, the game is approved and supervised by a public authority, and an equivalent game can legally be offered in Denmark.
Bonus rules also set clear limits. A promotion’s value or average value cannot exceed DKK 1,000. If an offer requires a deposit, its value must match that required deposit.
The maximum wagering requirement is 10×. This means the amount you must stake before withdrawing bonus winnings. Check whether it applies to the bonus alone or to both the deposit and bonus. A DKK 100 deposit plus a DKK 100 bonus at 10× both amounts requires DKK 2,000 in qualifying bets. Eligible bets must count in full, and bonus winnings cannot carry a separate wagering requirement.
Licensed Danske betting sites must also provide deposit limits and self-exclusion tools. The next section explains these protections and Denmark’s national self-exclusion register, ROFUS.
Responsible Gambling in Denmark
Licensed Danish bookmakers must provide deposit limits and self-exclusion tools. Operators must also monitor betting behaviour and act on signs of problem gambling.
Before you start betting, you must set a daily, weekly or monthly deposit limit. This caps how much you can add to your account. Lower limits take effect immediately; increases take at least 24 hours. Withdrawing money does not restore your deposit allowance.
Each operator has its own limit. Setting a weekly limit of DKK 500 at three bookmakers can still allow total deposits of DKK 1,500. These limits do not combine into one national cap.
To pause betting on one site, use its self-exclusion tool. Licensed Denmark betting sites must offer a 24-hour break, temporary exclusion for at least 30 days, and permanent exclusion that closes your account. These options take effect immediately. Some sites also offer time limits or blocks on specific games.
For exclusion across multiple operators, use ROFUS, Denmark’s national self-exclusion register. New registrations cover Danish-licensed online betting and casinos, physical casinos, and betting in shops. You can choose a 24-hour break, exclusion for one, three or six months, or permanent exclusion.
Temporary ROFUS exclusions cannot end early. Permanent exclusion continues unless you request removal after at least one year. You must then confirm the request 7–30 days later. Registration also blocks direct marketing from the operators covered by ROFUS.
For free, confidential support, call StopSpillet on 70 22 28 25 or use the chat at StopSpillet.dk. Advisers help players and their loved ones understand gambling problems and find support. Phone lines open Monday-Thursday, 09:00–21:00, and Friday, 09:00–17:00. Chat opens Monday-Thursday, 17:00–21:00, and Friday, 14:00–17:00. All times are local to Denmark.
Free treatment is also available through state-funded services. Spillemyndigheden’s treatment directory lists centres across Denmark and several online options.

Oddset is the sportsbook of Danske Spil, Denmark’s state-backed gambling company, founded in 1948. The established domestic brand focuses on Danish sports, familiar local services and payment methods such as MobilePay and NemKonto. In my review, its strongest results came from Superliga goals markets.
Deposits support Visa, Mastercard, Dankort, MobilePay, and bank transfer, with a minimum of DKK 50. Withdrawals are handled exclusively through NemKonto. My test withdrawal arrived in around 28 hours, with no fee charged by Danske Spil.
The mobile layout makes Superliga fixtures easy to find, and the search tool inside each match page helps locate individual markets. Stability was less convincing. Tapping odds or navigation buttons occasionally caused the page to freeze for several seconds.
Across six Superliga fixtures, the average pre-match 1X2 margin was 6.94%, a mid-range result. Goals pricing was more competitive. Over/Under averaged 3.05% and BTTS 4.59% across the three fixtures checked.
Danske Spil (Oddset) Danish Superliga betting odds
Market coverage concentrated on results, goals, and handicaps. Corners, cards, and player props were thinner on standard fixtures. Selected matches offered Byg Væddemål Bet Builder, Optursodds boosted combinations, and Tag Pengene Cash Out.
Oddset TV was also promoted on selected fixtures. Video access depends on the event and generally requires an active bet on the match. Some live pages displayed an animated tracker instead of video.
Across three live matches, the average 1X2 margin was a high 12.12%, while Over/Under averaged 8.70%. The available markets included results, totals, handicaps, half-time betting, and Correct Score. Live BTTS and Bet Builder were absent from those fixtures.
Danske Spil (Oddset) live betting
Superliga outrights covered League Winner, Top Goalscorer, and relegation, including stay-up options. The section did not include Top 6, team points totals, or season head-to-head markets during the review.
The welcome offer was a 25 kr free bet for new verified customers. It must be activated through the account menu and used on one sports bet within seven days. Winning returns exclude the free-bet stake.
The recurring Bet Builder promotion offered 5% cashback on weekly net losses of at least 100 kr, paid as a free bet each Monday. Its listed end date was 31 December 2026.
Oddset is one of the best online betting sites in Denmark for bettors who prioritise Superliga goals markets and prefer payouts through NemKonto. Competitive goals pricing was its clearest advantage, although mobile freezes and limited specialist markets reduced its appeal.

bet365 is an established international sportsbook with a strong presence in Denmark. Its Danish-licensed product competes on broad sports coverage and detailed betting markets. In my review, its clearest strengths were corners markets, player shots, and Bet Builder availability before kick-off and in-play.
Payment options include cards, MobilePay, Trustly, PayPal, Paysafecard, Skrill, Neteller, Apple Pay, and bank transfer. Minimum deposits vary. Cards and MobilePay start at 50 kr, Trustly at 100 kr, and PayPal at 210 kr. My Paysafecard deposit was straightforward.
The mobile site provides quick access to the Superliga and makes switching between pre-match betting, live events, and existing bets easy. Match lists and odds buttons remain readable on a small screen.
Prices were less distinctive than the market selection. Across three Superliga fixtures, the average pre-match 1X2 margin was 7.66%. Over/Under averaged 6.24%, while BTTS averaged 7.47%. These were not among the most competitive readings in my review.
bet365 Danish Superliga match betting
Corners coverage was particularly detailed, with match and team totals, alternative lines, handicaps, first and last corner, and race-to-corners markets. Player markets included extensive shots ladders and booking options covering the full squad.
Bet Builder, Tidlig Udbetaling Early Payout, and Kombi-Boost appeared across all checked fixtures. Early Payout remains subject to eligible competitions, markets, and customer conditions. Its appearance on a match page does not make every bet eligible.
The live section covered both major and less prominent football competitions. Each checked event included an animated tracker and statistics for attacks, possession, shots, and corners. Bet Builder was also available in-play. The average live 1X2 margin was 9.43%, so prices were not especially competitive in that sample.
bet365 live match odds for Danish bettors
Superliga outrights covered League Winner, Top Goalscorer, relegation, and Top 3. Top 6, team points totals, and season head-to-head markets were missing from the section at the time of the check.
The welcome offer advertised up to 1,000 kr in Bet Credits, subject to its qualifying conditions. Winning returns exclude the credit stake. Ongoing football offers centred on Kombi-Boost and Early Payout.
bet365 is one of the best bookmakers in Denmark for players who want detailed corners and player markets, alongside in-play Bet Builder. Market breadth is the main reason to choose it. The sampled prices and basic Superliga outrights were less compelling.

Unibet is an established Nordic brand with a long presence in Danish betting. Its acquisition of local bookmaker Bet24 helped strengthen that position. The Danish-licensed sportsbook combines a familiar brand name with broad football coverage, while competitive Superliga 1X2 prices were its strongest feature in my review.
Payments include MobilePay, Apple Pay, Visa, Mastercard, Trustly, PayPal, Brite, and Earthport. The minimum deposit is 40 kr.
The mobile match list is easy to scan, with fixtures grouped by date and full team names displayed clearly. Search and navigation make it straightforward to move between leagues, match pages, and live betting.
Across eight Superliga fixtures, the average pre-match 1X2 margin was 3.98%, one of the lower readings in this review. Goals pricing was less competitive. Over/Under averaged 6.71% and BTTS 8.56% across the three fixtures checked. The strongest pricing case for Unibet was therefore match-result betting.
Unibet Danish Superliga match betting
Market depth varied considerably. The headline fixture included Bet Builder, match combinations, goalscorers, player shots, shots on target, cards, assists, and corners. On OB vs FC København and Brøndby vs Randers, cards markets were absent, while corners and player props were more limited.
The live check covered one Japan Football League fixture. Its 1X2 margin was 12.07%, and Over/Under was 10.39%. Both figures were high for that match. The menu included results, Next Goal, totals, handicaps, team goals, and live Bet Builder. An animated tracker was available, but the event offered no BTTS, corners, cards, or video.
Unibet live betting in Denmark
Superliga outrights were particularly narrow. League Winner was the only market available during the check. Top Goalscorer and relegation betting were missing.
New customers had two sports welcome choices. The bet-and-get offer required a 200 kr pre-match bet at minimum odds of 1.80 and awarded a 200 kr free-bet token. The token stake was excluded from winning returns.
The alternative was a deposit match up to 1,000 kr. Its wagering requirement was 10 times the bonus, meaning 10,000 kr in qualifying bets for the full bonus, at minimum odds of 1.80 within 60 days. That is a substantial turnover requirement despite the larger headline reward.
Unibet is one of the top betting sites in Denmark for players who focus on pre-match Superliga 1X2 betting and player markets on major fixtures. Its appeal is weaker for BTTS betting, consistent specialist coverage across the round, and season-long markets.

Bet25 is a Danish betting brand positioned as a local alternative to the large international sportsbooks. It operates under a Danish licence and focuses on straightforward football betting. Bet Builder and a useful live statistics panel were its most convincing product features in my review.
Deposits support major cards, MobilePay, and Apple Pay, starting from DKK 50. I tested a MobilePay deposit and a NemKonto withdrawal, with no withdrawal fee charged. NemKonto is the only payout route.
The mobile site makes leagues and individual fixtures easy to locate. Match lists are readable, and the browser version handles ordinary pre-match browsing without unnecessary steps.
Across five Superliga fixtures, the average pre-match 1X2 margin was 6.87%. Over/Under averaged 7.46% and BTTS 7.12% across the two fixtures checked. These were mid-range to relatively high readings, with no clear pricing advantage.
Bet25 Danish Superliga betting odds
The main markets included results, Double Chance, Draw No Bet, goal totals, and both-halves betting. Bet Builder worked with result, goals, and handicap selections.
Specialist coverage was less consistent. Although the site promoted player specials, I did not find goalscorer or other player-prop markets on OB vs FC København or Brøndby vs Randers. Those fixtures offered less choice for bettors interested in individual-player markets.
Across four live matches, the average 1X2 margin was a high 11.58%. The statistics panel was more convincing, covering possession, shots, corners, cards, attacks, and substitutions. Live Bet Builder and draw insurance were also available. Video streaming was absent from the checked events.
Bet25 live betting in Denmark
Superliga outrights covered League Winner, Top 3, relegation, and Top Goalscorer. That provides the main season bets. The available section did not extend to team points totals, season head-to-heads, or exact finishing positions.
The welcome offer matched the first deposit up to 250 kr, with a minimum deposit of 50 kr. Wagering was 10 times the combined deposit and bonus. A 250 kr deposit plus a 250 kr bonus required 5,000 kr in qualifying bets.
Minimum odds were 1.95, with 60 days to complete the requirement. The relatively small reward therefore still came with substantial turnover.
Bet25 is one of the best sports betting websites for players who want straightforward Superliga betting, pre-match and live Bet Builder, and NemKonto withdrawals. Its main compromises are limited player markets on checked fixtures and prices that did not stand out.

Betano is a newer challenger in Denmark’s betting market. Part of Kaizen Gaming, it launched locally in September 2024 and built its football profile through partnerships with the Superliga and Brøndby IF. Competitive pre-match prices and detailed coverage of selected fixtures supported that positioning in my review.
Payments include Visa, Mastercard, MobilePay, Trustly, Apple Pay, and Skrill. I used MobilePay during the payment check. The payment check did not produce enough evidence to establish a representative withdrawal time.
The mobile site was quick to navigate. Clear market groups and short statistical insights helped when browsing individual fixtures, while the betslip displayed stakes and potential returns prominently. Dedicated iOS and Android apps are also available.
Across five Superliga fixtures, the average pre-match 1X2 margin was 3.50%, among the lower readings in this review. Over/Under averaged a competitive 5.00%. BTTS averaged 6.88%, a mid-range result.
Betano Danish Superliga betting odds
Market depth was impressive on the FC København vs Sønderjyske page, which included Opta statistics, player shots ladders, goalkeeper saves, and numerous corners markets. Coverage was uneven elsewhere. Brøndby vs Randers had no corners market, and two other checked fixtures lacked player props.
Bet Builder was part of the pre-match offering, alongside promotions such as Acca Boost, Bore Draw Refund, and First Half Injury Safety Net.
The live section included match trackers, statistics, and Bet Builder. Across five fixtures from mixed leagues, the average 1X2 margin was a high 11.15%, while Over/Under averaged 8.82%. A Stream tab and access prompt appeared on selected events, although I did not verify video playback.
Betano live betting
Superliga outrights included League Winner, Top 6, season head-to-heads, and a Tricast. Those options added variety, but a priced Top Goalscorer market was missing during the check.
The welcome offer matched the first sports deposit up to 1,000 kr, with a 50 kr minimum deposit. Wagering was five times the combined deposit and bonus. Taking the full offer required 10,000 kr in qualifying bets, at minimum odds of 1.80 per selection within 60 days. That is the same total turnover as Unibet’s full deposit-match offer.
While the bonus was active, stakes were split equally between cash and bonus funds. Withdrawing before completing the requirement cancelled the bonus and related winnings.
Betano is one of the best bookies in Denmark for players who want competitive pre-match Superliga prices and detailed markets on major fixtures. The mobile experience strengthens that recommendation, although specialist coverage varies across matches.

Payment options include MobilePay, Apple Pay, Trustly, Visa, Mastercard, Neteller, Skrill, and PayPal. The minimum deposit is 100 kr.
The mobile fixture list is readable, and filters make results, totals, and handicaps easy to reach. Pre-match research is less convenient. Deeper statistics open through an external provider instead of appearing directly alongside the betting markets.
Across four Superliga fixtures, the average pre-match 1X2 margin was 7.02%, a mid-range result. Pricing was not the main reason to choose Betsson.

The betting menu offered more variety. It included winning-margin markets, Correct Score, five-minute goal intervals, match and team corners, corner handicaps, race-to-corners selections, cards, player bookings, and goalscorers.
Bet Builder and Færdigbygget ready-made combinations appeared on every checked fixture. Tidlig Udbetaling Early Payout was offered as a separate priced market, so its odds should be assessed separately from the standard match-result selection.
Live coverage included La Liga and Danish cup fixtures in my session. Available markets extended to BTTS, Next Goal, corners, cards, team corners, handicaps, and Bet Builder, supported by an animated match display.
Live pricing was less persuasive. The average 1X2 margin was 8.93% across two matches, while Over/Under averaged 9.99% across three. Those readings make price comparison worthwhile even when the market selection is attractive.
Betsson live betting
Superliga outrights covered League Winner, Top Goalscorer, and relegation. Beyond those categories, the section was limited. Top 6, team points totals, and season head-to-head markets were unavailable during the review.
The welcome offer awarded a 250 kr free bet after a qualifying wager of at least 250 kr, with at least one selection at odds of 1.80 or higher. Free-bet winnings had no additional wagering requirement.
For ongoing football betting, Kombi-Boost advertised up to 70% extra on eligible accumulators. It required opt-in, minimum odds of 1.50 per selection, and qualifying competitions and markets.

The live market selection was broad. It included BTTS, Next Goal, team goals, corners, cards, player goalscorers, and Bet Builder, alongside results, totals, and handicaps. Match pages provided an animated tracker, player statistics, and data on shots, possession, corners, and cards.
Pricing was the clearest concern in the live check. The recorded 1X2 margin was 15.07%, while Over/Under 1.5 was 13.32%. Those are high margins for the checked sample, despite the useful tools and market range.

Superliga outrights included League Winner, Top 3, relegation, and Top Goalscorer. The section stopped short of team points totals, season head-to-heads, and exact-position markets during the review.
The welcome offer awarded a 500 kr free bet after a qualifying 500 kr wager meeting the minimum-odds requirement of 1.80. Customers had 60 days to place the qualifying bet. The free bet could not be divided into smaller stakes, while winnings carried no additional wagering requirement.
Ongoing sports offers included Kombi-Boost, selected Bet Builder promotions, and Tidlig Udbetaling Early Payout.

Pre-match pricing was a weakness. The average Superliga 1X2 margin was 8.27%, among the higher readings in this review. Over/Under averaged 7.65%, while BTTS averaged 8.17%. None of these results provided a strong pricing reason to choose 888sport.

Superliga outrights were limited to relegation and Top 3. Neither League Winner nor Top Goalscorer appeared during the check.
The welcome offer required a 500 kr deposit and a qualifying 500 kr bet at minimum odds of 2.00. Once that bet settled, customers received a 500 kr cash bet, valid for 60 days. Winning returns excluded the promotional stake and carried no additional wagering requirement.
The recurring Kombi Klubben offer required a 50 kr weekend deposit using code KOMBI and an accumulator with at least two selections at minimum combined odds of 3.00. A losing qualifying bet earned a 50 kr cash bet. Kombi-Boost also advertised up to 100% extra on eligible football accumulators.

The live check covered two AFC U20 qualifiers. Average margins were 11.35% for 1X2 and 9.86% for Over/Under. The market menu focused on results, goals, Asian lines, and half-time betting. Neither event offered live Bet Builder or corners markets in the checked view.
Both checked events offered live video after login without a separate viewing fee. Supporting statistics included shots, corners, cards, a momentum graph, and an animated tracker.

Superliga outrights covered League Winner and Top Goalscorer. The available section did not include relegation, team points totals, season head-to-heads, or other finishing-position markets.
The welcome offer provided 100 kr in cash without a deposit or wagering requirement. Customers needed to accept marketing consent and claim the offer through an email link.
Stake also promoted a Superliga 90th-minute payout. Eligible single pre-match 1X2 bets required a minimum 25 kr stake. If the selected team led at 89:59 but failed to win, the promotion paid the bet as a winner, subject to a 500 kr cap. The listed campaign ran through the end of the season in May 2027.
Stake is among the best websites for sports betting for players who value Early Payout options and live streaming on selected fixtures. Its results-and-goals focus is easy to navigate, but the checked product offered less choice for player props, specialist live bets, and season markets.
Conclusion
- Danish licensing provides a common level of protection. Licensed bookmakers offer deposit limits and access to ROFUS. Winnings from these sites are tax-free for players under Danish tax rules.
- No single bookmaker led every category. Betano recorded the lowest sampled Superliga 1X2 margin, Oddset produced the strongest sampled goals pricing, and bet365 and Betsson offered the broadest specialist football coverage. The best choice therefore depends on whether the priority is price, market depth, payments or live-betting features.
- Pre-match pricing had clear standouts in the samples. Betano, Expekt and Unibet recorded the lowest average Superliga 1X2 margins. Oddset performed particularly well on Over/Under and BTTS.
- Market depth varied between bookmakers and fixtures. bet365 and Betsson stood out for broad specialist football coverage. Betano and Unibet offered detailed headline matches, while some other Superliga fixtures had fewer player, corners or cards markets.
- High margins were a recurring weakness in the live checks. Several sites combined useful statistics, live Bet Builder or streaming with relatively expensive prices on the sampled events.
- Withdrawal options were an important practical difference. Oddset and Bet25 used NemKonto exclusively. Other online bookies offered several payout methods. The recorded Oddset withdrawal arrived in around 28 hours without an operator fee.
- Bonus multipliers alone did not show the full commitment. Unibet’s 10× bonus requirement and Betano’s 5× deposit-plus-bonus requirement both meant 10,000 kr in qualifying bets for their full 1,000 kr bonuses. Qualifying stakes, minimum odds and deadlines also shaped each offer’s value.
